Kavali is a mandal Head quarter (Mdl code-5 of Nellore Dt, AP) for the following 15 villages :1 Chalamcherla, 2 Rrajovari chintalpalem, 3 Kothapalle, 4 Maddurupadu, 5 Rudrakota, 6 Chennayapalem, 7 Anemadugu, 8 Thummalapenta, 9 Kavali bit - ii (r), 10 Kavali bit - i (u), 11 Budamgunta, 12 Musunuru, 13 Mannangidinne, 14 Thallapalem, 15 Gowravaram.

Kavali(KanakaPatnam,కనకపట్నం,కావలి) is a Garde I Municipality in Nellore district on the East Coast of India in the state of Andhra Pradesh on National Highway 16. It is one of the municipality in the Nellore district. Its position on the Grand Trunk Road. NH 16 and the east coast railway track (both of which connect Chennai and Kolkata along the east coast) helped its growth, more than the other towns in the Nellore district such as Udayagiri.
